Welcome to the pages for the Harrogate & Skipton Branch (49) which represents members in the "wild west" of the County. Formed as individual Branches in the days of the old West Riding Constabulary. The Branches merged in th 90's when Skipton found difficulty in forming a committee and in danger of closing.
The Branch area includes the towns of Ingleton, Settle, Skipton, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Boroughbridge, Ripon, Pateley Bridge. Members are spread far and wide throughout the U.K. Also with members in France, Spain, New Zealand and Ireland. With the demise of the Welfare Provision previously offered by the Force, the Branch is concerned for members welfare and is attempting to fill the void to look after its members.
The committee in no way purports to be qualified Welfare Officers but have some knowledge to direct and point members in the direction of services available privately and in the community. If you know of anyone who may require some support, financial or otherwise please contact the Branch through the link below.
In addition we invite members to join in several social events throughout the year. The Branch has quarterly meetings currently held at Harrogate Cricket Club, St Georges Road, Harrogate. NARPO nationally offers numerous 'Member Services' giving members advantageous terms and benefits through specialised Holiday provision, Home, Car and Travel Insurances, Car purchasing, Taxation, Financial Advice and numerous other services.
If you have any suggestions or items of interest you think other members would like to hear about again use the link below. We also publish a quarterly Newsletter and contributions from members are welcome.
